You want to test if K9 Web Protection is filtering your Internet browsing.

Solution

If K9 Web Protection is not installed on your computer, please refer to the K9 Quick Start Guide available at the K9 Documentation page on our website.

Once K9 is successfully installed and you have rebooted your computer, you can safely test filtering by browsing to a non-offensive (non-pornographic) website that is blocked by K9s default settings. Here are a few examples:

http://www.gambling.com
http://www.happyhacker.org
http://www.morpheus.com

K9 should block access to the website and display the reason on the block page. If desired, there are various options for overriding the filter located right on the block page for your convenience.
