You want to make sure that your K9 Web Protection is secure.

Solution

Use the following guidelines to maximize the effectiveness of your K9 implementation and keep it secure.

• Never have your browser remember your K9 password. Otherwise, there is the potential for a non-authorized user to be able to modify the K9 agent using your saved password.
• Make sure that you have a private email account that only you have access to. Otherwise, sensitive information in your email could be used to modify or disable the K9 agent.
• If multiple user accounts are setup on your computer, make sure only your account has Admin privileges, as Admin privileges are required to modify or disable K9.
• If only one account is used on the computer, make sure that account does not have Admin privileges.
