You have questions regarding K9 Web Protection filtering other types of Internet traffic.

Solution

The current version of K9 can only control HTTP traffic and HTTPS (this includes most web browsing). K9 currently does not support Chat/Instant Messaging protocols, Peer-to-peer, and email, and is not able to filter those types of communication.
