Symptom

You receive a message about an update to K9 Web Protection.

Solution

When an update for K9 Web Protection is available, your K9 program will automatically download and install it. You will receive a message informing you that K9 has been updated, and you may be asked to reboot. K9 should still function properly if you choose not to, but the new version will not be completely installed until after you reboot.

Please note, that these periodic updates are to the K9 program itself, not the filtering service. Our Blue Coat Web Filter is being constantly updated to always provide you the best protection possible.
